Camphor (Cinnamomum camphora) is a highly sought after wood that is famous for its aroma, and grows locally in the Tampa Florida area. It has a light brown color and a medium hardness. Camphor is also very resistant to insect damage. This beautiful slab has been vacuum kiln-dried below 10% moisture and is 3″ thick x 53″ x 45″. Camphor is native to Southeast Asia but has been introduced to subtropical and tropical places all around the world. This particular tree was harvested in Pasco County, Florida. Camphor rounds make great dining tables, feature coffee tables, and bar tables.
