Also known as wormy maple, this beautiful wood gets its unique coloration from the Ambrosia Beetle, a beetle that bores into the tree, bringing the Ambrosia Fungi with it, which discolors the wood and as the tree grows, it stretches out the discoloration, making this gorgeous wood. Ambrosia Maple is not a distinct species of maple, rather any species of maple that has said process done to it.
